Shopee Fees Guide Philippines
Last updated: July 13, 2026. This Shopee Fees Guide Philippines page explains the major Shopee seller fees that can reduce your payout before money reaches your bank account. Use it as a practical checklist before pricing a product, joining a campaign, or reviewing your Shopee payout.
Short answer: Shopee sellers in the Philippines should budget for commission fee, transaction fee, shipping fee or subsidy charges, order processing fee, Seller Growth Support Fee, and applicable BIR withholding tax. Optional programs such as Mega Discount Voucher, Live Xtra, and Special SPayLater can add more fees. Coins Cashback is currently referenced as free for sellers as of May 11, 2026, but always verify inside Shopee Seller Centre.

1. Commission fee
The commission fee is the largest mandatory Shopee deduction for many sellers. It is usually calculated from the buyer-paid selling price after seller discounts, not from your original listed price. Shopee Mall and Marketplace sellers may have different rates, and categories can have different subcategory rates.
Formula: Commission Fee = Selling Price x Commission Rate. Example: ₱2,500 x 10.36% = ₱259.00.
Use our Shopee Commission Rates Philippines page for the category-by-category table.
2. Transaction fee
The transaction fee is a payment processing fee. It is separate from commission and is commonly referenced as 2.24% VAT-inclusive. Because it applies consistently, it becomes meaningful at volume even if it looks small per order.
Formula: Transaction Fee = Selling Price x 2.24%. Example: ₱1,000 x 2.24% = ₱22.40.
3. Shipping fee and Order Processing Fee (OPF)
Shopee shipping-related fees help fund buyer-facing shipping benefits and free-shipping programs. Reference sources list Mall at 4.48% and Marketplace at 5.60%, commonly capped at ₱100 per order, plus a ₱5 Order Processing Fee.
| Scenario | Calculation | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Mall, ₱1,000 item | min(₱1,000 x 4.48%, ₱100) + ₱5 | ₱49.80 |
| Marketplace, ₱1,000 item | min(₱1,000 x 5.60%, ₱100) + ₱5 | ₱61.00 |
| Mall, ₱5,000 item | Fee hits ₱100 cap + ₱5 OPF | ₱105.00 |
The cap helps higher-priced products, while the ₱5 OPF can be painful for low-priced items. A ₱5 fixed fee is a much larger percentage of a ₱99 item than a ₱1,000 item.
4. BIR withholding tax
Marketplace withholding tax is a tax deduction, not a platform marketing fee. It is commonly summarized as 1% withholding on one-half of gross remittances, or about 0.5% effective. Sellers should keep this separate from Shopee platform fees because it can be creditable against income tax rather than a final fee.
Simple estimate: BIR withholding tax ≈ gross remittance x 0.5%. Example: ₱1,000 x 0.5% = ₱5.00 withheld.
Important: Tax treatment depends on your registration, threshold, and current regulations. Verify with Shopee Seller Centre, BIR guidance, or your accountant before making tax decisions.
5. Mega Discount Voucher (MDV)
Mega Discount Voucher is an optional campaign fee, commonly referenced as 4% of selling price with a ₱200 cap per order. It can increase campaign visibility, but sellers should compare the extra orders against the fee and the discount offered.
Formula: MDV = min(Selling Price x 4%, ₱200). Example: ₱2,000 x 4% = ₱80. A ₱6,000 item hits the ₱200 cap.
6. Coins Cashback
Recent references say Coins Cashback became free for Shopee PH sellers from May 11, 2026. Before that change, sellers could pay a percentage-based service fee. This matters because sellers who previously paid for Coins Cashback may now see lower campaign-related deductions, while other fee updates may offset part of the savings.
2026 note: Coins Cashback seller fee is referenced as ₱0.00 from May 11, 2026. Confirm current terms inside Seller Centre.
7. Live Xtra service fee
Live Xtra is an optional Shopee Live fee. Reference sources list 3.36% of selling price, commonly capped at ₱100 per order. If Mega Discount Voucher is also active, Live Xtra is commonly referenced at 2.36% with the cap still applying.
Examples: ₱1,500 x 3.36% = ₱50.40. A ₱4,000 order at 3.36% would exceed ₱100, so the fee caps at ₱100.
8. Special SPayLater installment fee
Special SPayLater installment campaigns can help buyers purchase higher-ticket items, but the fee can be large because it is commonly listed without a cap. Reference rates are +3% for 3-month installment and +6% for 6-month installment.
Formula: SPayLater Fee = Selling Price x Installment Rate. Example: ₱10,000 x 6% = ₱600.00.
9. Seller Growth Support Fee
The Seller Growth Support Fee is a newer mandatory fee referenced in 2026 Shopee fee summaries. It is commonly described as a category-based fee around 1% to 1.5% of selling price, with a 90-day exemption for new sellers after listing their first product. Exact category rates should be verified directly in your Seller Centre.
Example: ₱1,500 x 1.00% = ₱15.00. At 1.50%, the fee is ₱22.50.
Worked example: ₱2,500 Health & Beauty order
This sample shows why sellers should model Shopee fees as a full stack. It uses a ₱2,500 item, active MDV and Live Xtra, free Coins Cashback, illustrative 1% Seller Growth Support Fee, and shipping fee capped at ₱100 plus ₱5 OPF. Replace these figures with your actual Seller Centre values.
| Deduction | Mall example | Marketplace example |
|---|---|---|
| Selling price | ₱2,500.00 | ₱2,500.00 |
| Commission | -₱259.00 | -₱250.00 |
| Transaction fee at 2.24% | -₱56.00 | -₱56.00 |
| Shipping fee cap plus ₱5 OPF | -₱105.00 | -₱105.00 |
| Mega Discount Voucher | -₱100.00 | -₱100.00 |
| Coins Cashback | ₱0.00 | ₱0.00 |
| Seller Growth Support Fee at 1% | -₱25.00 | -₱25.00 |
| Live Xtra with MDV at 2.36% | -₱59.00 | -₱59.00 |
| BIR withholding tax estimate | -₱9.48 | -₱9.53 |
| Total fees | -₱613.48 | -₱604.53 |
| Estimated net payout | ₱1,886.52 | ₱1,895.47 |
Without optional fees such as MDV and Live Xtra, this same ₱2,500 order would keep more payout. That is why sellers should separate mandatory fees from optional campaign fees before joining promos.
Mandatory vs optional fees
| Fee group | Fees included | How to use this |
|---|---|---|
| Always model first | Commission, transaction fee, shipping fee, OPF, Seller Growth Support Fee | Use these before setting your base selling price. |
| Tax and compliance | BIR withholding tax | Track separately from profit because it may be creditable. |
| Campaign decision | MDV, Live Xtra, Special SPayLater, Coins Cashback | Join only when the extra sales justify the fee and discount. |
| Operating cost | Product cost, packaging, labels, tape, pouches, boxes, returns, labor | Not Shopee fees, but needed for true margin. |

Tips for managing Shopee fees
- Calculate before listing. Do not price from product cost alone. Add mandatory Shopee fees, packaging, labor, and return allowance.
- Separate optional fees. Campaign fees should be a decision, not a surprise. Compare expected extra orders against MDV, Live Xtra, and SPayLater cost.
- Watch low-priced items. Fixed costs like OPF and packaging can eat margin faster on low-ticket SKUs.
- Use caps correctly. Shipping, MDV, and Live Xtra caps can make percentage fees cheaper on higher-priced items.
- Review payout variances. If payout is lower than expected, check commission, transaction fee, shipping charges, campaign enrollment, and tax deductions first.
